Behind the Name

ANEYA was born from memory, love, and the desire to carry someone’s legacy forward.

The name is inspired by my late aunty Aniela, a woman who shaped so much of who I am and how I see beauty. She was the kind of woman who didn’t just wear fashion, she lived it. Not with loudness, but with quiet confidence, elegance, and an effortless sense of style that made everything feel intentional.

When I was growing up, she would dress me up in her clothes, let me try on her jewellery, and teach me how to style my hair - crimp it, curl it, twist it up. Those moments weren’t just play, they were lessons in confidence, creativity, and self-expression. She made every day feel like something worth dressing up for. And without even trying, she passed down a love for beauty in the details.

She showed me that getting ready wasn’t about vanity, it was a ritual. A way to honour yourself. She taught me that the way we dress is a form of self-respect and personal storytelling. That jewellery isn’t just an accessory - it becomes part of who you are. A signature. A memory. A quiet kind of power.

The name ANEYA is a soft reimagining of her- delicate and strong, just like her. It’s my way of honouring everything she taught me and everything she was.
